Colton Smethurst was born and raised in Red Deer, Alberta. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Mount Royal University, completing a double major in General Management and Supply Chain Management, with a minor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. He earned his law degree with honours from the University of Essex, building a strong foundation in legal principles and advocacy. Colton is actively engaged in his community, volunteering with the Community Legal Clinic and coaching volleyball in his spare time. In his free time, he enjoys snowboarding, playing volleyball, and spending time with family.
