Executive Summary
Monica was born and raised in Edmonton. After completing her education, Monica stayed in Edmonton and articled and worked at Bennett Jones LLP primarily in the areas of mergers & acquisitions. In 2008 Monica relocated to Calgary and joined Gowling WLG and worked primarily in the area of commercial real estate. Monica first joined Warren Sinclair LLP when she moved to Red Deer in 2010. In 2017 Monica left private practice for 3 years and joined Chatters Limited Partnership as their in-house Corporate Counsel where she handled a diverse array of legal, corporate and business matters.
Monica continues to practice in corporate and entrepreneurial law; commercial transactions; mergers, acquisitions & corporate re-organizations; commercial & residential real estate; commercial leasing; franchise law; business purchases & sales; banking & corporate finance; and wills, estate planning & trusts.
Monica believes in giving back to the community and enjoys presenting pro bono on various legal topics to groups and organizations and welcomes any and all invitations to do so.
Outside of work, Monica’s free time is spent with her husband and their two children, volunteering at her children’s schools and on their sports teams, and travelling around the world.
